Both music and visual art require a creative expression, using space, form, beauty and, color. Both music and color express emotions and or ideas. The idea behind Tunes To Wear (TTW) came from my passion for music at the same time not being able to hardly find any unique music t-shirt designs out in the marketplace. Then I thought, how cool would it be if I could merge music into digital visual art and present the results as wearable fashion statements, while at the same time introducing music that many may have never heard before. When we listen to music we're drawn to it by the vibration of the sound, rhythm, instruments and voice or lyrics. It makes you feel a certain way depending on the type of music you hear. All the designs on Tunes To Wear garments are generated from music visualization!
Visual art and music have long shared connections, but how closely do they relate? Can music be an effective part of visual art? Vice versa, can visual art come from music? Or, are they the same visual art and music, or just plain art? Those are all interesting questions to ask ourselves but there's one other question to ask ourselves. Can music create art? It's like Yin and Yang, the combination or fusion of the two opposite cosmic forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another.
